Rento ("we", "our", or "us") is operated by an individual developer based in Malaysia. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you use Rento at rental-manager-orcin.vercel.app (the "Service").

By using Rento, you consent to the collection and use of your data as described in this policy, in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) of Malaysia.

Property and tenancy data (entered by you):

• Property addresses
• Tenant names and phone numbers
• Owner names and phone numbers
• Tenancy dates and rental amounts
• Notes

Communication data:

• Telegram chat ID (if you connect Telegram notifications)

Usage data:

• Login timestamps
• Account creation date

We do not collect payment card details, IC numbers, passport numbers, or any government-issued identification.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data solely to:

• Provide the Rento service (property and tenancy tracking)
• Send you Telegram notifications about upcoming tenancy renewals
• Send transactional emails (account verification, password reset)
• Administer your account

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely on Supabase (PostgreSQL database) with row-level security enabled. Data is hosted on servers in Singapore.

We implement reasonable technical measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Rento is intended for use by property agents and is not directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
