Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Rento ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Rento is a web-based rental management tool that allows property agents to track tenancy details and receive expiry notifications via Telegram. The Service is provided on a freemium basis.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Rento. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

4. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activity that occurs under your account
  • Ensuring the accuracy of data you enter into the Service
  • Obtaining appropriate consent from tenants and property owners whose data you enter

You must not share your account with others.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Enter false or misleading data
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' data
  • Reverse engineer, copy, or reproduce any part of the Service
  • Use the Service to harass, stalk, or harm any individual

6. Data You Enter

You retain ownership of the data you enter into Rento. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store and process that data solely to provide the Service to you.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to enter third-party personal data (tenant and owner information) and that doing so complies with applicable Malaysian law, including the PDPA 2010.

7. Free and Pro Plans

Free plan: Up to 10 properties. No payment required.

Pro plan: Unlimited properties. Pricing and payment terms will be communicated at the time of upgrade. Fees are non-refundable unless required by law.

We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice.

8. Service Availability

We aim to provide reliable access to Rento but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may suspend the Service for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet your specific requirements.

Rento is a tool to assist with tenancy tracking. It is your responsibility to independently verify all tenancy dates and renewal deadlines. We are not liable for any missed renewals or business losses arising from your use of the Service.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Malaysian law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of business, loss of commission, or data loss.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the total fees paid by you in the 3 months preceding the claim, or RM 50, whichever is greater.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
